ODO 2013Update as of 6 March, 2013:

Well, it was another great show hosted by our Richmond modeling brethren.  Jerry Quick of the TAMS club posted a bunch of images in his FOTKI album, found HERE, while our own Dennis Tennant popped out a few pictures in his gallery post, found HERE.  The IPMS/Tidewater & HRSM crowd made a sizable dent in the awards pile, as reported by Tidewater secretary John Kelly in the club newsletter, found HERE.  HRSM Alumi Ed Hubbart was even able to make the trek to enjoy the show – it was good to see him and all the other folks well-met over the years at the ODO.  Ed also shared more pix out on Photobucket.  For our part, sales of the club kit ‘stash’ donated by Dave Ekker brought in a few bucks for the club coffers while Mike Eberhardt‘s models garnered around $600 for the USCG Auxiliary Fund.  If the other vendors did as well, there should have been a lot of ‘happy campers’.  Indeed, another well run and well attended event.  Can’t wait for next year!

It is time for that highly anticipated event, the annual Old Dominion Open Contest & Show , hosted by our friends from the IPMS/Richmond Chapter.  It will be in the usual venue (now improved) at the State Fairgrounds in Richmond, easily reached from our area by cruising up I-64W and catching South Labrunum Avenue at Exit 195 (first ramp), taking a right until reaching the Fairgrounds entrance just before the Meadowbridge intersection.  (Click HERE for Google Maps.)  Hall opens at 08:30 for attendees with the show wrapping up at 5pm.  Lots of vendors and very reasonable admission – click the logo for all contest details.  Hope to see you there!
