A little about this machine. The military put out an order for a 31 c.i. recon motorcycle. Harley cheated and used their 45c.i. WLD model. Indian, already make a fine 31 c.i. machine in the Power Plus model. send examples of this. The military was impressed with the added power of the WD, and ordered it, ignoring their own size requirement. Had Indian submitted the 45 c.i. Scout, it would have been so much better than Harley’s WD, but such is the military.

    HI,
that is my bike, it is a 1941 model 741-B Indian manufactured in the US. This model was purchased by the UK and Commonwealth countries, this particular one was shipped to New Zealand during the war.
